Practice Areas

The practice is confined to criminal law in the courts of Delhi. The pages below explain the law and procedure in each area under the new criminal laws (BNS, BNSS and BSA), with the older IPC and CrPC provisions noted for reference.

Anticipatory Bail

Pre-arrest bail applications before the Sessions Courts of Delhi and the Delhi High Court under Section 482 BNSS (formerly Section 438 CrPC).

Regular Bail

Bail after arrest before Magistrates, Sessions Courts and the Delhi High Court under Sections 478–483 BNSS (formerly Sections 436–439 CrPC), including default bail.

Quashing of FIR

Petitions before the Delhi High Court under Section 528 BNSS (formerly Section 482 CrPC) and Article 226 to quash FIRs and criminal proceedings.
